Solemnize

To solemnize, spoken of a marriage, means no more than to enter ln-to a marriage contract, wlth due publicatlon, before thlrd persons, for the purpose of glv-ing it notoriety and certalnty; whlch may be before any persons, relatives, frlends, or strangers, competent to testify to the facts.
